Story | Betfair – one of the world's largest online sports betting operators – launches a new campaign for their horseracing offering to coincide with the run up to The Cheltenham Festival. Created by WCRS, the integrated campaign spans TV, digital and press and continues to build on Betfair’s brand idea “This is Play” and its deliberate move away from industry stereotypes. |
Philosophy | The campaign dramatises how simple it is to bet using Betfair, which is brought to life through the introduction of a catchy mnemonic ‘Tap Tap Boom’, around which the creative centres. The 30” TV commercial was directed by Brent Bonacorso at Papaya and will be further supported by 30” offer spots. Mark Ody, Brand Director, Betfair, said: “People believe betting is exciting; and that betting with Betfair is even more exciting. Our new suite of ads brings this to life in a highly distinctive, enjoyable and engaging way. This really is play as it should be.” Leon Jaume, Executive Creative Director at WCRS said: “In the Betfair world of ping pong playing cephalopods and eccentric bars we still love to see horses racing against each other – particularly if they are driving rally cars. This really is play.” |
