Spectrecom University Film Production features on the BBC

A higher education film we produced for Kings College London has today featured on the BBC news website on a trending blog.

Kings College London required a film which raised awareness and promoted a culture of no tolerance to sexual harassment and bullying amongst the staff and student population of the university. The university also wanted a series of discussions of men on campus which addressed topics including sexual consent, masculinity and ‘lad’ culture.

The article, titled ‘Lad Culture: it stops here’, takes a look at some of the London universities to campaign against “Lad Culture”. Students are invited to take the pledge to become an ambassador for change where they pledge to educate themselves and others about sexual harassment, assault and rape; intervene when they see peers or colleagues experience unwanted behaviour or attention, amongst others.

The campaign aims to raise awareness about the impact of sexual harassment and violence and to challenge and address behaviour that encourages sexual harassment.

Lad Culture BBC News

The BBC 2 minute video interviews students from Kings College London and London School of Economics who talk of their experience of ‘Lad Culture’ and unwanted behaviour, as well as what steps are being taken to change views and raise awareness.
