Ismael Ten Heuvel

Ismael Ten Heuvel

Known in the industry by his first name, Ismael is best known for his work for leading consumer brands McDonald’s (Manifest), Volkswagen (The Way Back), and most recently Heineken (The Invention), for which extensive post-production processes were used in order to recreate an authentic vision of Paris in 1889. Ismael is an award-winning director of awards including Cannes Lions and the Epica Awards. Before switching over to directing, Ismael worked as an Art Director at Lowe Amsterdam for 10 years. After being a creative ( Art director) for 10 years at Lowe Agency, Ismael succesfully switched to directing. Already as an art director he had a good tone of Art, Style and a photographic eye. Together with a huge pile of postive energy and a very direct Amsterdamish way of working straight out of the heart it makes him a joy to work with both for crew and clients. His perfect sense of casting, creates great human & heart-touched commercials. Storytelling, Humor and Styling are of big importance to him. He completly dives in each project as being his first... He gives all he has and that makes him rare. Won several prices in Netherlands and International. Also founder of the Amsterdam based production company Pink Rabbit.
BASHA DE BRUIJN

BASHA DE BRUIJN

Basha de Bruijn skipped university and started doing what she loves the most right after high school: making moving images and narratives. At the age of 19 she started directing music videos for various Dutch artists. At the age of 22 she shot her first international commercial. Her work is often described as dreamy and cinematic. Seeking the beauty in the ordinary and creating atmospheric sets. Her main interest is storytelling and she focusses on real human interaction. Because of her work as an editor she has a natural feel for pace and rythm. She recently directed commercials for Appelsap Fresh Music Festival, Dutch Alzheimer’s Association and ABN AMRO and won gold at the Berlin Fashion Filmfestival for her work as the editor of 'Blouson Noir'. In 2014 she won the Classical Comeback Award with a visual interpretation of Gustav Mahlers Adagietto. She loves bubblewrap, celluloid, 500 days of Summer and Beyonce She hates tinfoil, her knees, cinnamon and the sound of Toni Brextons voice.
