| Philosophy | Rembrandt Van Rijn passed away on 4th October, 1669, in a modest house located in a jewish neighbourhood on the outskirts of Amsterdam. By then, most of his property had been already auctioned off. The artist refused to pander to a painting manner, that was meant to flatter the clients. He was unable to leave hardly any heritage, but left a great legacy, that still astonishes the world.
