Story | Milan. Procter & Gamble Italy. We're inside the offices of one of the world's largest multinational companies. A meeting is going on in one of the conference rooms. The room is well lighted. We see a big table where the corporate giant's top marketing men are seated. A middle-aged man is speaking in English at the head of the table. He's gray-haired, has a moustache and a stiff posture that makes him look like a Marine general. He's the boss. The atmosphere is serious. Nobody is saying a word and everybody is listening. We see them one by one. They seem hypnotised and if we take a good look at them, they seem to be...actually, they are all identical. The same suit, the same attentive expression. They all have earphones for the simultaneous translation. Just like robots, they nod their heads in agreement with every word uttered by their boss. They are all synchronised together in the same way. One of them...even nods in time! It's obvious why: the others follow the beat of the speech, but he's following the rhythm of a record. Hip-hop, at that! |
