Story | The Central America Migrants Caravan and the political conduct of the concerned countries gave voice to many different opinions on a social and humanitarian level. As a news channel, the role of SIC Notícias is to give coverage of the whole story in all its different perspectives, offering the public maximum information for a better understanding of the subject. |
Philosophy | In a world where information is as easily accessible as it is misleading, context is everything. SIC Notícias remains a reference of responsible journalism. We created a new brand concept and the launch campaign signature based on the most controversial themes of the day. From national affairs (‘Bullfight’, ‘Fire’) to worldwide concerns, subjects that divided the public were approached from different perspectives, providing the viewer a complete and effective context for the whole story, thus know more. |
Problem | SIC Notícias is the Portuguese leading news channel. The brand asked for a repositioning campaign to reaffirm its core values and responsibility towards the public by practicing a journalism of reference. |
Result | The campaign itself promoted a public debate, spontaneously jumping from traditional media to social media. |
