At the age of 24, Anselmo left his native Brazil and spent 12 years working abroad at Y&R Lisbon, Madrid and Miami, and Lowe New York.
His work has garnered 42 Cannes Lions, 5 One Show Pencils, 8 CLIOs, as well as numerous Andy, D&AD, Eurobest, Communication Arts awards.
In 2007, Anselmo came back to his homeland to become Vice President Executive Creative Director of Ogilvy & Mather Brazil. In 2010, O&M Brazil became the most awarded agency in the O&M network.
In 2012, the agency won a record 16 Cannes Lions and was the third most awarded agency in the festival.
Anselmo is a member of the O&M Worldwide Creative Council, and one of the founders of DAVID, a new kind of global agency with a Latin heart, with offices in Buenos Aires and São Paulo.

This year, Brazil took the No. 1 slot, freeing Mr. Ramos up for his dual role as co-founder of Sao Paulo-based startup shop David, which does international projects for clients like Coca-Cola and Burger King. He has two criteria for eliciting good work: "Show me something I haven't seen before (and I see a lot), and it should be really hard to make happen."
