Story | In Denmark, only 1-2% of the land is wild nature. And due to old traditions, most gardens are trimmed to perfection. But a perfect garden is like a desert for endangered insects, with nowhere to live and nothing to eat. So IKEA and WWF teamed up to help by adding a twist to the most iconic IKEA product of all time - Swedish Meatballs. And serving it to a whole new, hungry audience. We call it: Swedish Seedballs. A tasty meal for endangered insects made from soil, clay, and local wildflower seeds that sprout into wild nature and can feed thousands of hungry insects once fully grown. The Swedish Seedballs launched as a limited edition offer for IKEA Family members, and was democratized with a downloadable recipe shared through IKEAs channels and via national and international PR. |
