Solving toothpaste waste with glass and cardboard

A fake tube sweetens the people for people who don’t want to switch to toothpaste in jars.

Toothpaste tubes are a huge source of plastic waste in our oceans. A brand called Kintab sells a far more eco-friendly version: tablets in glass jars. But people aren’t used to the format and keep on buying tubes. To overcome the problem, BBDO’s agency in the Philippines disguised the jars with recyclable cardboard tubes. The familiar shape attracted the eye and encouraged shoppers to switch to non-polluting tablets.
