Global director, Trevor Clarence, has joined Los Angeles-based production company JOJX, where he’ll be represented as a commercial filmmaker. Specializing in comedy, Clarence is known for crafting unforgettable characters in his award-winning films.
Born in South Africa, Clarence worked professionally as an international stand up comedian and actor before establishing a career in filmmaking. At the age of 25, he directed and co-wrote Straight Outta Benoni, one South Africa’s most successful feature films ever, which remained number one at the box office for three consecutive weeks.
Sought after for his fresh and interesting spots, Clarence has built rooted relationships with agencies around the world. He has yielded campaigns that have aired on almost every continent, working with brands such as Amazon Prime Video, McDonald’s, Pond’s, Coca Cola, Haier, Aldi, Toyota, Virgin Mobile, Nando’s, Carlsberg, Cadbury’s, BP, VW, Heinz, Renault, Lucozade, McCain, Europcar, MTV, Fanta, Jet Air, and Total. His work has earned him numerous accolades, including being voted Young Gun of the Year in Australia.
