The many faces of London Metropolitan University

To misquote Geoffrey Chaucer, tide and time wait for no video production company. Which is another way of saying that we’ve been so busy beavering away on myriad new projects, we’ve had precious little time to tell you about any of them on our blog.

Hopefully that can change over the coming weeks, as we try our darnedest to not only bring you news of some of the films and video series we’ve been so occupied with, but also add a selection of updated case studies to our site’s portfolio pages.

Kicking things off today is a companion piece to one of our more recent posts, detailing our creation of the brand new TV ad for London Metropolitan University.

As mentioned in said post, at the same time as producing that TVC we were also working on a series of online films showcasing different facets of life at the university.

The first four of those films introduce London Met’s four faculties – each of which we have chronicled through the eyes of a single key contributor.

Spencer Rowell was the chosen face and voice for the Sir John Cass Faculty of Art, Architecture and Design. He arrived at London Met as an MA Photography student, having already enjoyed a successful career behind the camera of 20 years-plus.

Since then, his craft has only flourished further, and he is now bringing his expertise to the next generation of imager-makers as part of the university’s teaching staff.

Next, the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities. This film is narrated by Anna Masing, who studied Theatre and Performance Practice at London Met and has a very passionate take on what the university is able to offer.

For the Faculty of Business and Law, we filmed with Event Management graduate Damiano La Rocca.

Damiano benefitted from support provided by London Met Accelerator to launch his own business, Seable, which provides active holidays to disabled people.

And last but by no means least, there’s the Faculty of Life Sciences and Computing, as introduced by Biomedical Science student and university ambassador Priya Desai.

Spectrecom Films is one of the UK’s leading video production companies for higher education film and video content.
