TODD-SOUNDELUX EXTENDS COMMITMENTS IN HOLLYWOOD AND SANTA MONICA Post production sound company TODD-SOUNDELUX today announced it has extended lease terms by 10 years for two of the comp any’s locations, including its Todd-AO facility in Hollywood and its Pacific Ocean Post (POP) facility in Santa Monica.

“These locations are strategically important for both the TODD-SOUNDELUX family, as well as for the creative communities we serve in the feature film, broadcast, commercial, online, and interactive markets,” said David F. Alfonso, owner of TODD-SOUNDELUX. “We remain fully committed to continuing to be a strong industry partner, providing best-in-class creative sound solutions for content creators working across all media platforms.”

The company also announced it would be making a significant investment in physical and technical upgrades at both facilities, as the company seeks to further revitalize its creative environment and deploy innovative updates to its proprietary workflows.

“We are committed to envisioning and realizing the next iteration of a fully integrated and deeply guest-focused post production sound company,” continued Alfonso. “TODD- SOUNDELUX has helped set the bar for excellence for more than 60 years in bringing content to life through sound, and we are prepared and committed to carry that tradition forward, striving to provide a magical and inspiring experience for content creators.

The company’s lease negotiations were supported by Mark Robinson and Arlene Sommer of Cushman & Wakefield. “The TODD-SOUNDELUX organization is a vibrant and dynamic leader within its industry segment, and has embarked on an ambitious process to revitalize its entire collection of facilities, effectively reinventing the way the company conducts its business and delivers a high level of service,” said Mark Robinson, Executive Director of Cushman & Wakefield. “The decision by TODD- SOUNDELUX to aggressively extend its presence in these submarkets is a clear affirmation of the company’s long-term commitment to the creative community, and a willingness by its owner to make a substantial financial investment in the company’s facilities and technical infrastructure.”

The Hollywood location consists of five mixing stages, two ADR stages, transfer facilities, and a number of production offices and editorial rooms. Recent facility credits include Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa, Muppets Most Wanted, Carrie, The Fifth Estate, August: Osage County, Family Guy, and HBO’s Girls.

Pacific Ocean Post (POP) in Santa Monica consists of eleven mixing stages, seven voice over booths and an ADR/Foley stage. Recent facility credits include The Starving Games, Evidence, Breaking the Girls, Eric Clapton’s Crossroads Guitar Festival, the social film The Power Inside by Intel & Toshiba, the Battlefield 4 game, and commercial spots for Northface, Jeep, Toyota and Carl’s Jr.
