Problem | Butterfly Children suffer from a painful, incurable genetic skin disease. But nobody cares. Except Debra-Austria an NPO of affected families. The challenge is to create awareness of the needs of butterfly children and collect donations to build a treatment and research-center in Salzburg, Austria. |
Result | Donations 2003 (No Campaign): EURO 146,600. Donations 2004 (Start of campaign includes TVC in June): EURO 298,500. The campaign doubled the annual donations in only half a year. In addition, Debra-Austria received donations from companies and media coverage on the nationwide TV channel ORF. As a result, the treatment and research-center will open in November 2005. |
