Aaron Weber

Executive Producer and Fearless Leader at Wander Los Angeles
Los Angele, United States

About me

MANY GREAT LEADERS WERE ONCE EAGER FOLLOWERS, inspired by the places they went and the people with whom they aligned. Aaron Weber followed daring creatives, social champions, and his own gut to become a leading producer of thought-provoking and action-inciting films.

Behind his gentle demeanor, Aaron has been a bold thinker and dynamic creator from the earliest age. His natural curiosity and resourcefulness earned him Eagle Scout honors. His open-heartedness compelled him to build a meditation garden for his temple (which is still in use today). He studied art, and painted with respected teachers.

In his first year of high school, Aaron was mistakenly placed in an upperclassman production class. Instead of leaving – or getting kicked out of – the class, he used the time to teach himself a 3D animation program. Excited by the possibilities of this developing art form, Aaron enrolled in the School of Visual Arts to pursue a career in VFX.

Self-aware, and unafraid to find a new road, Aaron realized that this actually wasn’t his thing. He did, however, fall in love with the producing process during his award-winning senior thesis project, Wander. While creating this 6-minute visual story, he found in himself the stuff of a great producer, the stuff he has been curating his whole life. With that, he founded Wander.

In its infancy, Wander did commercial and design work to establish a foothold in its home base in Los Angeles. By responding to a vague Craigslist ad for a production coordinator (a title he hadn’t yet held), Aaron earned the job working with – shockingly – Nintendo, which turned into a 5-year relationship of creating video marketing materials and mini-documentaries.

Wander made a huge splash in 2012 with the viral success of “Follow the Frog” for its first nonprofit partner, Rainforest Alliance. Nothing has been the same since. With an office full of awards and a shifted focus, Aaron has steered Wander to supporting nonprofits with impactful visual storytelling.

Since then, Aaron has traveled the world, from Tanzania and Japan to India and Uganda, producing successful spots for clients such as OxFam America, The American Museum of Natural History, LinkedIn, and Apple. His work has won dozens of awards, including a Cannes Lion, 2 Do-Gooder Awards, and 2 ADDYs. Aaron sits on the advisory board of Earth Protect TV.
