Story | The ReCup Arena is a football pitch made out of Budweiser plastic beer cups left over after the FIFA World Cup 2018. Budweiser, an official World Cup sponsor, collected and recycled 50,000 beer cups in order to make the pitch. The cups are made of 100% polypropylene and have a transparent white body and a red base. After being ground up, the white parts were used for the pitch and the red for pitch markings. The unusual pitch drew people’s attention to the problem of plastic recycling. |
