About me

I'm a writer, editor, and content producer who has, at one time or another, contributed everything from print features and digital content to marketing and promotion to video production and television - all with an eye towards creative engagement and humor. I've managed editorial teams, written celebrity profiles and in-depth longreads, pitched, written and produced comedy skits, managed brand-controlled social media accounts, done on-camera interviews, hosted professional panels, and been involved in just about anything else that can be read, watched, or shared.

Editor, CoCreate
Fast Company
June 2015 - May 2017 (1 year 11 months)
I am lead editor on Fast Company's CoCreate site, a hub for coverage of entertainment, advertising, the arts, and pop culture viewed with an eye towards innovation, process, and the ever-present question "what's next?"
Senior Editor
Whalerock Industries
December 2014 - May 2015 (5 months)
I helped establish an editorial direction and style for a newly-rebranded media hub, and prepped the site for launch by assigning, editing, and creating original content.
Senior Editor/Senior Copywriter
Tommy Hilfiger
August 2012 - April 2014 (1 year 8 months)
As Copywriter and Editor, I oversaw all Tommy Hilfiger marketing, PR, ecommerce, and social media initiatives. I worked closely with the in-house promotional design studio, the marketing and PR departments, creative services, and Tommy himself to write and edit all company-produced material including collection statements, promotional initiatives, in-store signage, digital content and social media outreach.
Senior Entertainment News Editor
NBC Universal
January 2011 - March 2012 (1 year 2 months)
I developed and oversaw all entertainment news across all of NBC’s affiliate sites (New York, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., Connecticut, Miami, Chicago, Dallas/Ft. Worth, San Diego, Los Angeles, and Bay Area). Additionally, I crafted the tone and perspective of the “PopcornBiz” movie and TV blog, managed a team of writers and editors, established a social media voice for the PopcornBiz blog on Twitter and Facebook, and helped produce, edit and post original videos.
Deputy Editor
Maxim Magazine
March 2008 - December 2010 (2 years 9 months)
As the lead editor and primary writer for Maxim magazine’s official web site, I created ongoing franchises like the “DVD-siac” DVD and Blu-ray review section, the “Maxim Drinks With” video interview series, as well as ongoing comedy/entertainment features such as “Head to Head,” “Trailer Breakdown,” and others. As part of the site’s original editorial team at its launch in 2000, I crafted much of the tone and style that still persists today. In addition, I managed a staff of editors, cultivated and maintained freelance contacts, promoting the site through social media, worked with ads/sales and marketing teams to develop Maxim-branded initiatives, and represented at press events, functions, on television, online, and on radio.
Head Writer, "Attack of the Show"
G4 Media
January 2005 - April 2007 (2 years 3 months)
As the first head writer on “Attack of the Show,” I was instrumental in crafting the voice of the program as it transitioned from the service-oriented “Screen Savers” to a pop culture news and entertainment show. This meant working closely with the hosts to establish the AOTS perspective, as well as bringing together a writing team to conceive and execute original comedy skits and franchises, such as “Set Diaries,” “One More Thing…” and “This Week in Suck.” I also worked closely with the show promotional department to craft and execute advertising initiatives.
