Shot by JSA’s talented director Björn Amend over 5 nights in Johannesburg, the spot features original Sapeurs along with neon covered racing cars, a 40 piece electrified marching band, a hand built “Dekotora” Truck plus a few glowing jackets thrown in for good measure. Having built a trusted relationship with Toyota over many years there was unusually no agency involvement. Björn wrote, styled, directed and supervised the post-production right up to final approval! To quote him: “It felt a bit like the pipe dream of a 16 year old comic fan, but don’t quote me on this.” *(sorry Bjorn - we just did :-) )* |
