Store closures are on pace this year to eclipse the number of stores that closed in the depths of the recession of 2008 affecting about 89,000 American jobs. One in 10 american work in retail. WIth the growing trend to shop on-line, more shoppers are 'showrooming' and leaving stores empty handed to buy online or elsewhere. AppCity has developed a Customer Retention Mobile App System to keep the customer's intended purchase in-store, paying a desired price while the retailer maximizes his markdowns.
Director
medusa enterprise
November 2013 - Present (3 years 9 months)
To date, no practical economic embodiments have been developed for the transportation of giga volumes of freshwater. Medusa Enterprise has taken on that challenge given that few freshwater transportation projects have been optimized to make it economically viable. The transportation of fresh water to markets many nautical miles away could be feasible and cheaper than conservation and desalination initiatives. The task at hand is communicating to jurisdictions, project developers and governments of an option that is environmentally responsible. Simply, its is extending the lifespan of the molecule of fresh water.
Excutive Director
Citizens' Coalition for Clean Affordable Energy
August 2011 - Present (6 years)
Meeting climate change commitments and generating clean affordable energy in Ontario has been a challenge that still makes headlines. Plagued with legacy systems, centralized generation and conventional mindsets fixed on reliability that dismisses energy sustainability prompted the creation and formation of a Citizens' Coalition for Clean Affordable Energy. In the 2011 Provincial Election, the government in waiting threaten to kill the Green Energy and Economy Act as an election platform. This rallied the renewable energy sector under the CAE banner to launch a very strategic and targeted education campaign that ultimately preserved the act, and as eventual consolation prize in the Long Term Energy Plan, saw the inclusion of the 'off ramps' should the reactor refurbishments not meet budgets or schedules. Still the cost of electricity in Ontario is destined to remain high unless serious consideration is given to collect empirical data to seriously weigh sustainable energy options rather than seek political expediency.
