About me

Jake is a Creative Director with over 15 years of comprehensive experience in web design, mobile, user experience, front-end development, and branding. Jake's strong portfolio of world class interactive experiences covers a wide range of industries including travel / airline, e-commerce, medical, media, publishing, music, energy, financial services and sports.

In 2012 Jake started Rebellion Design Co. along with co-founder Chris DiClerico. Rebellion Design Co.'s mission is to provide agency-level work – from initial brand concept through site development – in a transparent, open, and forward-thinking environment. Rebellion Design Co.'s clients range from fast-growing startups to Fortune 500 companies.

Prior to Rebellion Design Co., Jake served as a creative consultant both independently and for digital agencies AtmosphereBBDO, MRM, Tribal DDB, and Euro RSCG, working on a diversified set of accounts including Emirates Airline, Armstrong, DePuy (A Johnson & Johnson Company), Visa, Animas, Citi, GE, Cognizant, ING, WebMD, Meredith Corporation and the U.S. Golf Association.

Jake played a major role in overseeing the redesign of the award-winning Emirates.com airline website and was responsible for the visual design and front-end development of all major enhancements to the Emirates.com website including key upgrades to the online booking / management functionality from 2007 - 2012.

Earlier in his career, Jake served as the Creative Director for Vault.com, a career-focused multimedia company. During this time, Jake oversaw the re-branding of the company's corporate identity and the re-launch of the Vault.com website.

Born and raised in New York City, Jake holds a BFA in Graphic Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology.

Fueled by my love of punk and hardcore music I launched an independent record label. Released 5 records including From Brooklyn with Love, a 9/11 Benefit Compilation and Bad Scene, Everyone's Fault, a Jawbreaker Tribute Comp. The Jawbreaker release included 17 brand new covers of Jawbreaker tracks from bands such as Face to Face, Nerf Herder, and Fall Out Boy.

Dying Wish discovered 2 great bands: Bayside and Lost North Star. Bayside went on to release five full length albums, four for Victory Records and one on Wind-Up Records. As founder, I handled everything from A&R to finance, as well as designing all of the album cover artwork, advertising, and online experiences.
