May 2014 - Present (3 years 10 months)
I have directed commercials for a range of clients including Guinness, Johnnie Walker, Castrol and Haagen Dazs and have also worked for a breadth of mainstream media publications including The Daily Mail, The Daily Telegraph and ITV. I'm currently looking to work with in-house production companies at creative agencies and independent production companies.
CEO and Cofounder
April 2013 - February 2014 (10 months)
I cofounded Filterview, a web application that curates the best internet films and videos. Filterview was founded upon the realisation that there was now way to sift through the high volume of poor quality internet videos. Filterview brought the power of a tv viewing experience to online content, where only the best videos, personalised to each userwere shown. I fully designed and implemented the product strategy for filterview as well as managing digital marketing and sales.
Production Assistant
July 2013 - September 2013 (2 months)
I worked as a production assistant for the leading VFX company in the world which produced the likes of Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings and the recently Oscar-nominated Gravity.During my time at Framestore Los Angeles, I was able to work on commercials for ESPN, Beats by Dr. Dre, Chevrolet and Toast Strudel, owned by General Mills. Through this experience I learnt the daily workflow of a commercial production company and the pitching process, including writing effective treatments. Furthermore, I also learnt an array of practical filmmaking skills such as advanced editing, colour grading and compositing.
