Kaitlin McMillan's career was launched into warp speed when at 24-years-old she secured a job as a Producer for a commercial photography company. She was put in charge of seasoned photographers, stylists, models and agencies with no training and an hourly wage of $15/hr. She was set up to fail before she even got started - and she did... fail. If it wasn’t her own inexperience that was her downfall it was her colleagues that threw her under the bus, the managers that berated her, and the clients that questioned her competency.
This first experience shaped the rest of her career in marketing. She wanted reasonable managers, a liveable salary, and a team-focused environment. Those requirements, she quickly realized, would only be accomplished by starting her own company. In 2018, she started her agency, McMillan Creative.
