TitleDeforestation is not a fiction
Title (original language)La déforestation n'est pas une fiction (anglais)
BriefHere’s a little story about a farmer who heard that to make a living he had to force feed his herd. His chickens and his cows needing to grow with ease had no choice but to browse devour grass and trees.Their evil appetite drove the beasts in the end to eat in a single bite the farmer and his land. The tragic conclusion we should all keep in mind is deforestation is a threat to mankind.

Story The growth of the soya industry, used to feed animals, including cows, pigs and chicken has been meteoric. Production in Brazil has quadrupled in just 20 years, mostly to feed European livestock. And this production has come at a huge cost. Vast areas of forest and natural habitats have been destroyed and Huge tracts of the forests in South America have been lost.
Philosophy To make it clear, simple and obvious, we decided to represent the impact of livestock on deforestation by giant cows eating trees in a short animation tale about the link between Deforestation and the growth of the soya industry, used to feed animals. In this short animation film, cows and chickens are growing so fast that, in the end, they devour the trees, the forest, the farm and the farmer.
