Prior to accepting the position as VP, Marketing and Communications at Lions Gate, I was retained as an IPO consultant by Frank Giustra. For about a year leading up to the IPO, I handled all of the investor messaging and grassroots marketing, building the new brand with the film community and our new partners. The first job of building any new public company from scratch is to create an aura about the company's goals, mission, and long-term vision. LionsGate had generous amounts of all three. Once I was an employee (#4) I wrote the annual report, helped the company through a reverse IPO and worked with our new film distribution and production units to ensure everyone had the information and messaging to be successful.
