As president and managing partner of Carmichael Lynch and Carmichael Lynch Relate, Julie Batliner oversees the leadership and direction for both the creative and PR agencies.
Batliner is focused on business success for our clients. She is the lead catalyst for integration of all agency offerings, bringing clients a holistic, cross-discipline approach to their marketing solutions. This unique ability to activate multiple and distinct agency resources based on individual clients’ needs has accelerated growth for clients and agency alike.
As managing partner, Batliner has helped oversee four consecutive years of double-digit growth for Carmichael Lynch. In her first year as Carmichael Lynch Relate president, Batliner led the agency to unprecedented success, with 47% revenue growth and more than 50% growth in headcount. The year was capped with a win at the 2017 PRWeek Awards for Outstanding Midsize Agency. She was elevated to president of Carmichael Lynch in April of 2017.
Batliner has earned industry-wide recognition for her work, including Silver Anvils, Effie Awards, SABREs and PRSA Classics, among others, on behalf of some of the most prestigious brands in the world. She has been individually recognized as a recipient of two Stevie Awards in the categories of Female Executive of the Year and Woman of the Year, a Champion of PR by PRWeek and a Working Mother of the Year by She Runs It (formerly AWNY). She was also chosen as one of Forty Under 40 by PRWeek and The Minneapolis St. Paul Business Journal.
While she hails from Mizzou, Batliner is a long-time resident of Minnesota with her two children and husband, Dan, and is an active member of her community, serving on the board and executive committee of Meet Minneapolis, Convention and Visitors Association.
Emily is a walking bundle of dichotomy: a strategic creative, a metric-driven free-thinker and a believer in the power of social, nontraditional and emerging media as dynamic tools to engage consumers.
Emily’s work has won many awards, including “Brand Marketer of the Year” by PR News. After more than a decade in agency leadership roles, she still inspires us with her fanatical passion for developing meaningful brands.
A versatile communications pro if there ever was one, Alison’s brand and consumer marketing expertise spans more than 15 years of in-house, national and global agency experience. Adept at taking care of clients, she’s helped them succeed in areas ranging from retail and consumer packaged goods, to beauty and food, to consumer tech and start-ups.
Over the years, she’s created nationally recognized work and led world-class campaigns for numerous brands with household names, provided strategic corporate storytelling opportunities, and helped launch well-known design collaborations for major national retailers.
When she’s not creating simple solutions to complex problems, Jill can be found building Schwarzenegger-strong partnerships with our clients.
Her deep background in strategic planning, corporate communications and investor relations has set the stage for some pretty remarkable results. Not to mention numerous top industry honors, including the PRSA Silver and Bronze Anvils, SABRE Awards, PRWeek Awards, and more. Let’s just say the award shelf is starting to need reinforcement.
Astute. Unflappable. Motivated. Besides being partial to one-word descriptors, Grete’s client experience reads like a veritable “Who’s Who” of food companies. Among the list of those she’s successfully counseled are Arla Foods, Cargill, General Mills, International Multifoods, Jack Link’s Beef Jerky and MOM Brands.
And while some talk about taking a “global view,” Grete backs it up with a master’s degree in international public relations from the School of Journalism, Media and Cultural Studies at Cardiff University in Cardiff, Wales.
Cavan has been finding new ways for brands to connect with consumers since the pre-smartphone days, when that meant coding newspaper copy to display on iPods so people could read the news on their commutes. Yes, really, that is a thing that people wanted once.
As head of our social engagement department, Cavan works across the agency’s portfolio of clients, spearheading the development of innovative social campaigns. Not only does he work on creating compelling content and storytelling, but he also follows it up with monitoring and metrics to make sure the results are delivered.
Part business analyst, part matchmaker, all Director of New Business. From RFPs to the blip of an emerging possibility on the radar, it all gets Erika’s attention. And who better? She’s spent her entire career in new business, most recently with an eight-year stint at Martin Williams before joining Carmichael Lynch Relate.
Among her strengths is an ability to quickly get up to speed on complicated, multi-faceted pieces of business. As our new biz leader, Erika oversees the entire process from the first meet-and-greet to the last handshake. In fact, if you’re reading this and not a current client, she’d love to talk to you.
Are you sitting comfortably? Because Eric brings a deep stockpile of experience, wisdom and humility to our team. Before signing on at Carmichael Lynch Relate as a partner, he was most recently a senior group manager for Target, in charge of corporate and digital PR, which handles its corporate social responsibility story, multichannel and digital initiatives, and other corporate growth efforts.
As if that wasn’t enough, Eric also helped launch A Bullseye View, Target’s online magazine and related Twitter handle. His bio also includes stints at Deloitte and as a reporter and editor. There’s more, but you get the idea.
