About me

I'm a Sydney based advertising creative with over 14 year's experience in advertising and design. I've worked for a wide range of agencies, both full-time and freelance, and created memorable campaigns for an even wider range of clients.

Associate Creative Director

Currently working on a mixture of clients that include Toyota, Lexus, Cadbury, OPSM, BIG W, NIB and St.George Bank.
Senior Art Director

During this time I had successful stints at Ogilvy & Mather, 303Lowe, JackWattsCurrie, Disciple, Lavender, Arnold Furnace, Six Black Pens, ACP Digital, Daisy Ideas, IdeaWorks, Bloke Media and Smart. I’ve worked on all sorts of clients that have included Vodafone, KFC, Nab, Westpac, Subaru, Bank West, Peugeot, Loan Market, Discovery Channel, BIG W and Huawei Mobile.

Whilst at Whybin’s I created award-winning work for RaboDirect and was an integral part of the agency winning NSW Ad News agency of the year in 2010. I worked on the successful pitch for NRMA, and created memorable campaigns for clients that included Visa, Nivea and The Sun-Herald Newspaper.
Freelance Art Director
Sydney, Australia
December 2009 - December 2009 ()
During this contract I worked primarily on Telstra and BigPond.
Art Director
London, United Kingdom
February 2009 - October 2009 (8 months)
A great agency to be involved with, and great opportunities to get stuck into work for clients such as Discovery Channel, 118 118,, Channel FIVE, The Share Centre, National Express and Virgin Entertainment.
Freelance Art Director
AMP, Inferno
November 2008 - January 2009 (2 months)
During these freelance stints I worked on Visa, Telegraph online, Hellmann’s, Visit London, BlackBerry and I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter (I could).
talkSport Digital
June 2008 - October 2008 (4 months)
During my time here I worked closely with the Creative Director, Editor and the digital team on the launch and then early issues of talkSport Radio's weekly interactive digital magazine. A great project to work on and a very interesting area to gain experience in.
Art Director
Redfern, Australia
August 2005 - March 2008 (2 years 7 months)
As part of the original creative team hired by The Monkeys, I co-created memorable campaigns for clients that included FOXTEL, The Comedy Channel, Yahoo7, The National Rugby League of Australia and The Sun-Herald, and had work recognized at Cannes, The New York Festivals, The Effies and The Caxtons.

I was also an integral part of the agency being awarded B&T Emerging Agency of the Year, Ad News Emerging Agency of the Year and becoming an Australian Hotshop of the year Finalist in 2007.
Art Director
April 2004 - August 2006 (2 years 4 months)
Originally employed as Deputy Art Director I soon moved up to role of Art Director. In this position I was responsible for all visual aspects of the magazine, running the art department and managing the art team of 3. It was my responsibility to ensure that the finished product was of the highest possible standard each month.

My role also involved working closely with the Editor and senior editorial team on feature and content ideas for the publication, making sure that it was always one step ahead of the competitors and remaining No.1 in it's category.
Art Director/Designer
April 2003 - March 2004 (11 months)
When I first in Australia I freelanced at a diverse range of magazines that included FHM, Empire, Tracks, Waves, Ministry of Sound, TV Week and Take 5.
Designer/Deputy Art Director/Art Director
February 2000 - March 2003 (3 years 1 month)
I joined FHM as a designer when it was at height of its success. It was a fantastic time to be involved with the magazine at the peak of the Lads' mag explosion. With the plentiful budgets of that era, the creative opportunities were amazing and the environment fantastic.

I gained invaluable experience here, and during my time was promoted to Deputy Art Director and then had a stint as Art Director before heading down under.
June 1999 - February 2000 (8 months)
This is where it all began for me. Working for free in the art departments at Loaded and Empire magazines (while pulling pints at night in London’s west end). It wasn’t long before I'd earned my stripes and began freelancing on titles such Q, The Big Issue, Melody Maker, Select and Muzik (whilst continuing to have regular work at Loaded and Empire and not pull pints).
